She was an avid walker and a Chicago Cubs fan. She also loved to watch "Survivor" and "Dancing With the Stars."

Ruby was a devoted mother who loved her children, family and anyone she knew. She always taught us to be humble, to be true to ourselves and enjoy life. She will be greatly missed but always remembered. A simple woman, she displayed God-given qualities of life, love, compassion and thankfulness.

Ruby's family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the staff at OSF, in particular to the E.R. and Cardiac Floor.
