Wayne Hilgedick Obituary

Wayne Hilgedick (72), beloved husband, father, brother, family, and friend passed away from COVID on December 19, 2020 in Cottonwood, Arizona. Wayne was born in Marshall, Mo. on October 27, 1948, to parents Elmer and Evelyn Hilgedick. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rose, daughter Angela Friedman (Michael), son Tyler Hilgedick (Kimberly), granddaughter Kaiyah, sisters Carol and Barbara, nephew Stephen, and nieces Sheri and Tonya, in addition to eight great-nieces and nephews and a host of beloved cousins and friends.

Wayne will be remembered as the incredible father, husband, and friend he was to all. With friend or stranger, Wayne embraced each individual moment and laughed with everyone. Every soul he met with kindness, and respect, as he treated the world and its many blessings with dignity. He had a huge heart, a bright and brilliant mind, an infectious smile, and carried with him an unparalleled grace that will never be forgotten by those who knew him.

We will miss his laughter, bright smile, and a cool, wise head. We thank him for his beauty, strength, and determination in keeping us all safe, healthy, and joyous. He lived a good, hard life.
