Wishing you comfort and strength in your time of need. Weep, but briefly, as Joan enters into the Kingdom of God.
Joan, I will miss you so much.

We have so many great memories of Joey. She was already past 80 years old when we met her. Sometimes we'd call her and I'd say, "Are you busy?" She'd say, "No, what are we doing?" And we'd pick her up and go off to Silverton or up in the mountains on four wheel drive roads. One day we took her up, and she wasn't sure about the two tracks we were driving on on the edge of a cliff. She made fun of that "road" for years afterward. But, when we were up high, and at the end of that road, we got out and were climbing down the mountain side on some rocks. We left her near the car and were just looking at rocks and bricks and lumber and cable from an old mine. Pretty soon, her she comes. She was not to be left behind. We told her be careful and did she think she should be coming down? She said, "Of course I'm coming with you. Did you think I was just going to stand around up there?" And she did stay with us the whole time. We all had a ball together.
We had so many good times with a wonderful, graceful kind woman that enriched the life of everyone that she spent time with. And she never met a stranger. She seemed to have something in common with everyone, and made everyone feel comfortable with her and like they mattered. She was a gift to us, and I look so forward to seeing her again. She loved to praise the Lord, and I'm sure her voice is loud and strong as she's praising Him now. I love you my good friend. I miss you so much. Thank you for your love.
