Don Roseberry Obituary

Donald Lee "Don" Roseberry passed away at home in Breen on September 22, 2015. Don was born June 3, 1934, to Tom and Dorothy Roseberry in Montrose, Colorado. He attended school in Cortez. He was a hardworking man of integrity. He started his career as an adolescent, working alongside of his father in the family business digging ditches by hand at Roseberry's P and H in Cortez. Among his various jobs, he worked for TWA in Kansas City, in copper mines in Arizona, and for a railroad signal crew in Washington State before returning to plumbing with his father and obtaining his Master Plumber License.

In 1967, Don opened Roseberry P and H in Durango as the manager, later purchasing the business from his brothers and uncle. His grandchildren affectionately labeled him "Grumpy".

Don is survived by his wife, JoAnn; his children: Donna Roseberry of Cortez, Gary Roseberry of Durango, Terry Roseberry of Dallas, TX, and Gail Cartwright of Bayfield; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a brother Dean Roseberry of Las Vegas, NV.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister.
