Charles Brodt Obituary

Charles F. Brodt, 81, of Taunton, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Marlborough Hospital. He was the son of the late Carl W. and Sara (Apel) Brodt. Mr. Brodt was born in Fall River and a 1957 graduate of Joseph Case High School, Swansea and later attended the University of New Hampshire. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he worked as a support engineer for GTE Telecommunication Co. Mr. Brodt was an avid Red Sox fan and a season ticket holder and a former communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. As a lifelong golfer, he was proud to say that he got not 1 but 2 holes-in-one. Survivors include his sister: Johanna Grutchfield, of Ashby, MA; and niece: Hannah Meyer and her husband Steven of Lancaster, MA.
