Miriam Wekselblatt Obituary

Miriam "Mimi" Wekselblatt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on January 2, 2026 in San Francisco at the age of 88. She was surrounded by her children Lisa Boles and Laurence Blau, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, resilience and warmth that will continue to shape all who knew her.
Born on September 19, 1937, in New York City, Miriam was the youngest daughter of Morris and Rose Hecht and sister of Teddy Hecht, Ida Drucker and Melvin Hecht.
Miriam's greatest joy was her family and her community. She is survived by her children Lisa Boles (wife of Eric Boles) and Laurence Blau, eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was married first to Dr. Robert Blau and then to John Wekselblatt, who both predeceased her.
Those who loved Miriam will remember her caring inquisitive nature, her warmth and her love of people. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and heard.
A burial was held in New York with her loving family on January 5, 2026. Any donations in Miriam's memory can be made to a worthy Jewish cause.
Miriam Wekselblatt will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. May her memory be a blessing.
