I worked for Denny 25 years ago and also had the pleasure of knowing his father, Jim. Both extremely kind men. Denny taught me a lot and I´ve thought about him many times throughout the years. All the best to the family.

Denny was one of a kind, salt of the earth.
Even though he was exauhsted from work he took time in the evenings to teach me, an unknown neighbor, archery. Always with a project. always preparing for his next hunting/fishing trips.

Denny's smile, words of wisdom, encouragement, and genuine love of people are well known to his family, close friends and in the Durango community. He was loved by all who knew him. Michael shared his love for hunting and fishing, and they became partners as they explored the Colorado mountains each year. Denny's love of the outdoors, was only surpassed by his love for his wife Lynda. I can still hear him proudly saying..."ain't she a pistol?" He could tell a story like nobody else, he knew a little bit about every topic, and his face would light up when he caught you in one of his jokes. He was a huge part of our lives and he will be forever missed. Rest in peace Denny.

I will always remember Denny as the sweetest nicest guy that loved the outdoors, loved people, loved telling stories, loved teasing the kids, and helping them hone their fishing skills.. He always had a smile a warm greeting and a few jokes to make you laugh. He enjoyed life and people even if he was working hard he always gave the impression he loved living his life and was giving it his all. He adored Lynda, he was one of the great ones. My family has some great memories with Denny and Lynda. God be with you Lynda we know the hard times that come with having a family member struggling with cancer and how hard it is when it doesn't turn out the way you've prayed. Just know you are loved, you are not alone. Sending hugs, love and prayers. Heaven is going to be spellbound listening to Denny spin his stories, tall tales and jokes. We are all lucky to have known him he was a blessing.
