Sheri Ann Rex, 58, of Durango, Colorado, died 1/7/2022, surrounded by family, Born 12/21/1963. Service will be held at a later date. She worked as the Section 8 Coordinator at Housing Solutions for the Southwest for almost 20 years. She loved all animals and had an extensive elephant collection. Sheri is survived by her husband Darren Rex, daughter Miranda McMath, and sister Vickie Francil.

I just learned of Sherri's passing and I am devastated! She was a really nice lady and I liked her very much. I saw some of her elephant collection and always planned on adding to it but I never got the chance. She was a good lady. She will be missed

To all of Sherri's Rex family, you're all in my prayers for I knew Sherry all my 20 yrs in Durango, she became my go to women if I had any problems about housing or my lifes worries. We would sit and shoot the breeze every time I would see her in the office she made me feel comfy & she was always kind,caring & respectful. She's quite a women she held a place in my heart I will always remember her. My Condoleces to you all,God bless you I had the privilege to pray with her 2019 & my prayers were as such of a last testament,she said she was fighting for her life... My Last hugs were her last days on earth. She was a trouper. Thank you Sherry and family. IMY.

Sheri was instrumental in getting this Veteran into safe housing. We had disagreements along the way, but she looked out for my best living conditions. I will miss working with such a strong lady. My condolences to her family.
