I truly remembering watching Miss America, she was so beautiful, a talented lady. She will be missed, never be forgotten. We all know know that she is in a good place now, she is talk to all Miss America and the angels are taking good care of her. My thoughts, prayers are with her.

I first met Leanza when she visited Appalachia High School when her dad "Dickie" served as assistant principal. In addition to being beautiful, she was "beautiful" person in that she was warm, friendly, direct, open, and "down to earth" in dealing with groups of students or the individual one on one. Leanza and I did shows together at the Alhambra and Theatre Jax when we were just starting out several years ago. Throughout her career, Leanza was such an inspiration to many who knew her, including myself. When we reconnected years later, she was such a proud mom telling me all about her amazing boys. My prayers and condolences are with Leanza's family.
