Arthur (Bill) William Wilson was born on June 25, 1929, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Ruth Parks. He passed away on December 14, 2020, at his home in Cortez, Colorado, at the age of 91.

At an early age, Bill's family moved to Durango. He graduated from Durango High School in 1947. He served in the Navy as a blimp radio operator based near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Colorado School of Mines. After working as a bookkeeper for Bob Benton in Durango, he became a CPA. He was partners in the CPA firm, Decker and Wilson which later became Clark, Wilson and Associates. He retired from the firm in 1994.

On April 6, 1951, Bill married Dorthy Barker of Durango. After a divorce, he married Marcia Ealey of Durango in November, 1982.

Bill loved his family. He was involved in many community organizations including the Soup Kitchen, jail ministries, and the homeless shelter. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Episcopal and Catholic churches. He loved the outdoors. He spent time jeeping, boating, camping, fishing and golfing. He was known to be a die-hard Denver Bronco fan. He enjoyed the 10:00 a.m. meeting at Parson's Drug Store with the Durango Business Men's coffee club.

Bill gave a lot of his time to help make a difference. Most would say of Bill that he had a wonderful sense of humor and was an overall good man.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Parks; sisters Sue Whitaker and Lola Chamblee. He is survived by his wife, Marcia Wilson of Cortez; his children, Susie Wilson Milligan of Plano, TX, Scott and Joanna Wilson of Durango, CO; his grandchildren, Tyler and Crystal Wilson, Bailey Wilson, and Erin Milligan; and his great grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Wilson.
