On October 19, 2018 Steven Brian Medina was surrounded by those he loved when his Heavenly Father called him forever home.
Steven was born May 22, 1989 to Philbert & Marie Medina in Durango, Colorado. His loving parents and siblings Nicole, Lawrence, Malissa and Anthony made his childhood adventurous and filled with joy. Growing up Steven made friends easily, always bringing laughter to any room he walked in. Steven was a hard worker and in every position he held was well liked by customers and those working with him.
As an adult Steven became an avid gun enthusiast and loved to ride and work on his deceased father's Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was fast talking and fast moving, it was a rare sight to see him still. Although socializing and offering his time to help his family and friends was what he enjoyed the most.
In 2011 Steven and former spouse, Stefanie Medina, started a family when she gave birth to their first son Estevan. It was quickly realized that Estevan should've been named Jr. when he shared his father's mischievous craftiness and overly active playfulness. Only two years later they welcomed their second little boy Israel who reflects his strength and enjoyment in making others smile. They soon moved to Bayfield and Steven was eager to provide for his new family and loved spending all his free time with them.
His unforgettable smile and universal sense of humor is what his numerous friends and immense family say they will miss the most. Although memories of his kindness and generous spirit are a close second. He's survived by his mother, siblings & two sons. He will be lovingly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and too many friends to count.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 24, 2018, 860 Plymouth Dr., Durango, CO 81301. Visitation Tuesday October 23, 2018 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Hood Mortuary.
