Sedoanya Campbell Obituary

Sedoanya Glee Wade Campbell passed away on April 5, 2018 in Pasco, Washington, with family members at her side. She had suffered from dementia for several years and succumbed unexpectedly to a MRSA blood infection.

Sedoanya was born July 30, 1938, in Cortez, Colorado to Adrian Wade and Flossie Weems. The family soon moved to La Plata County, Colorado and lived at the Old Fort Lewis campus and in Durango. She attended schools in Durango, graduating from Durango High School in 1956. She married Dale Campbell on September 21, 1956. They moved to Montana where she began her life as the wife of a ranch hand. As a city girl moving to where there were not any close neighbors, it was quite an adjustment. She always said she read the bible from Genesis to Revelations and the dictionary through the letter "E" to pass the time before they moved to "civilization". Dad and mom moved many times to accommodate dad's work and what life brought. They resided throughout the years in Montana, Colorado and Arizona, at various times and various locations. After mom suffered a stroke, they moved to Pasco, Washington in 2011 to be near Dalene, their oldest daughter.

She kept a lovely home and was a wonderful cook (her bread and cinnamon rolls were the best) and a gracious hostess to family and friends. She was a very supportive mother and was intensely proud of her children, their education and their accomplishments. She spent a lot of time in her flower garden, enjoyed board and card games (Pinochle overcame Pitch when then moved to Montana) and "just visiting."

Sedoanya was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Adrian, Jr. and Norton Wade. Sedoanya is survived by her husband, Dale, and their three children, Dalene (Mike) Zabel of Pasco; Darlette (Tim) Wahl of Bradenton, FL, and Dale E. (Leona) Campbell of Gilbert, AZ and six grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a cousin.

Memorial services will be held at the Marvel Grange on July 28 at 10:30, with lunch to follow. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.org in her name.
