Professor Charles J. Yoos Obituary
April 16,1946 - November 26, 2018

Chuck Yoos grew up in Lisbon, Ohio, with his parents Charles and Alice Yoos, and sister, Sandy. He accepted an appointment at the Air Force Academy after high school graduation. Graduating fourth in his USAFA class in 1968, Chuck began his 30 year career in the Air Force by attending UCLA Graduate School and receiving the MBA in 1969. That was also the year that Chuck married Linda Betz, his wife of 49 years. They have two children, Heidi and Jake. Chuck later earned a DBA from the University of Colorado. He served on the faculty at USAFA for 19 years, retiring in 1998, after which he was appointed Academy Professor Emeritus. He joined the faculty at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and taught there in the School of Business Administration until 2017. He enjoyed teaching students in the JTA program at both Regensburg, Germany and LaRochelle France. Chuck and Linda have grown in their faith and made many friends at Gospel Church in Durango. After a long battle with cancer, Chuck leaves behind a family tremendously grateful for the life he led and their time together. A memorial service for Dr. Yoos will be held after the holidays. Information will be forthcoming. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital
